Fake Currency and Economy of India

It’s known far and wide that Pakistan leaves no stone unturned to destabilize India and fake currency, in this regard, happens to be one of its most useful tools. And contrary to the expectation of all, the main route of the same is operated through Bengal. Reason? Painstaking studies do reveal that Bengal, within the federal structure of India, happens to be the friendliest state to Pakistan and its best sympathizers, naturally, reside here most. Two bordering districts of Bengal, Murshidabad and Malda, hence, are mostly being used in this regard. All these breathtaking info have been learnt from the investigations of NIA or the National Investigation Agency.
National Investigation Agency, to be precise, has been created by the Government of India to combat the mounting saga of terror across the country. And only on January, 2012, NIA along with BSF and other Indian intelligence agencies conducted an investigation to bust such a racket in Malda leading to the arrest of 14 people. From both Morgen Hossain and Raqib Sheikh, arrested from Jamshedtola at Kaliachak, District: Malda, NIA learnt that Pakistan was conducting its entire trade of fake currency through the bordering areas of Bangladesh and Nepal.
Taking cue from Morgen and Raqib, NIA arrested Imran and Zonab (with fake Indian currency worth Rs. 9.85 lakhs) from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. As per Imran and Zonab, they got fake currency from an individual named Iqbal Kana who did receive the amount from Mohammed Ashraf of Dubai.
Following investigations revealed more sensational and dreadful information. According to the information, fake Indian currencies (made in Pakistan) move to Dubai, before anything else. And from there currencies are transferred to Bangladesh and Nepal. In line with pundits, 70% of the entire fake Indian currency moves to India from Bangladesh. Districts of Murshidabad and Malda are used as transit altogether. What makes these two districts most suitable in this case? If anyone dares to ask this, he/she (dubbed as a communal) will be arrested by the Bengal government straight away.
This is cruel truth at the moment even if investigative reports of NIA state categorically villagers of the two aforementioned bordering districts are employed as bearers to transmit counterfeit currency.
Special Task Force of Calcutta Police seized fake currency worth Rs. 1.5 crores in 2011 and has got hold of fake currency worth Rs. 50 lakhs in 2012 (up till now). Well, the government has not hinted the amount of fake currency in the market at the moment.
It is worthwhile to mention, the majority of Indian population (being worst sufferers) is conscious of the ill-effects of counterfeit 500 rupee note. But the reality is more awful than this. Pakistan has been instrumental in sending more fake 100 rupee notes than this and all of those are effective at the moment. Owing to such developments, police or government is yet to seize these notes; any such incident will lead to a social unrest without doubt. Information does suggest that these notes are annulled once they reach the exchequer but these efforts are a few if compared to the obligation. What can we conclude from here? Fake currency, thanks to Pakistani machinery and local support, is in full swing in the realm of India.
Without a shred of doubt, fake currency happens to be helpful in mounting inflation and consequential hike in prices. Whether it is Pranab Mukherjee or Amit Mitra, all, despite being conscious of the entire episode, prefer to remain silent. And the sole reason behind silence happens to be the involvement of both Pakistan and Bangladesh. Any such utterance would discredit their own political careers and also ambitions; hence, even if they send Jihadis or fake currency or even infiltrators or slaughter minority Hindus there – both Pakistan and Bangladesh have got to be befriended.
