Dhenkanal (16/10) - Today, the 40 representatives of the affected villagers of the proposed CESC Power Pvt. Ltd. at Dhenkanal Sub-Division & RSB Metal Tech. Pvt. Ltd. at Kamakhyanagar Sub-Division of Dhenkanal District, who’ve gone New Delhi under the leadership of the Great Farmer Leader Er. Debashisha Hota, returned Dhenkanal by Hirakud Express. Hundreds of workers from all over the District led by Shyamsunder Biswal & Nibaran Mahabhoi welcomed the leaders by garlands, buckeyes & flowers at the Station.
Here noteworthy that, a DHARANA was organized on last 9th at Jantar Mantar by the Samiti. Later they’ve given a 12 charter demand note to the Prime Minister of India.
The Demands are Job for all unemployed youths of all affected villages, Modernization of nearest medicals, Adequate Compensation for K-Form, Debottar, Eucalyptus, forest & encroached lands. Compensation of Twenty-Five lakh per acre, Adequate Compensation to the cheated poor people who’ve sold their lands just before the Notice of 4/1, Engineering colleges with free seats to the Meritorious students of the affected villages, Assurance for Zero Pollution with Plantation in large scale & No release of water from the plant into the nearest Rivers or water Resources, Adequate Compensation for the lands affected by the ash, Free Electricity, water facility & road for all affected villages for Domestic & Irrigation purpose, Help of Rupees Ten Thousand per month per person to all Old, Physically & Mentally Handicapped persons of all affected villages, Appointment of locals as Labour Supervisors and Free House & employment for all landless families of the affected villages.
We’ve requested for 3-Party-Discussions comprising of Ours Loser-Citizen Forums with Company Owners and the Representation from the Government as the Mediator earlier a number of times. But, everything goes in vain. Nobody in the administration is listening to our demands. They’ve mutual understandings with the company owners. We’re afraid of losing everything by their mis-utilization of force, Hota told on this occasion.
The Bandhua Mukti Morcha Leader Swami Agnivesh has addressed to the protesters by saying that the land & water is of ours. So, nobody can snatch it from us without our due consent.Later Muralidhar Rao,the National Secretary of BJP & Akhtar Raza, the National General Secretary of JD(U) rushed to the spot to give support of their respective parties for the cause.
On 11th October Independent MP AV Swamy & Mr Hota had met V.Kishore Chandra Deo, the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs & Panchayati Raj. I’ll certainly write to the CM & look into the matter such that the 19th July 2012 amendment has not been violated by the State Govt. regarding Tribal Affairs.
The Delegation met NDA convenor Sarad Jadav & MP Kousalendra Kumar on 7th Evening, Swami Agnivesh on 8thMorning, NCSC chairperson PL Punia on 9th Morning & NCST Chairperson Dr. Rameshwar Oraon on 9th Evening.
The delegate was also called on 11th by the BJP MP Nishikant Dubey who is the House In-Charge of BJP for Odisha. He told that BJP will certainly raise the issue on the 1st day of the coming Winter Session. Previously on 10th October, they’ve met Shrimati Sushama Swaraj, the opposition leader in Loksabha. She has assured the Delegation to take up the issue in the next winter session.
They also met the All India Congress General Secretary & MP Bhakta Charan Das on 14th Morning. Mr. Das threatened the State Govt. & District Administration to be prepared for Mega agitation.
