Several Charitable institutions run by Hindu’s do very very commendable humanitarian activities in India as well as other parts of the world. But in most cases due to media neglect news about these activities do not reach you.
In India several institutions Hindu Institutions like Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission, Arya Samaj etc runs several great Charitable institutions for poor people.
Hindu Temple’s at Vaishno Devi, Tirupathi etc runs Universities, Medical colleges etc with their own funds.
ISKCON or Hare Krishna movement is one such institutions doing charitable activities on international basis. Its “Food for Life”, is famous. In New Delhi, it provides lunch to thousands of school children in several Government run as well as private school’s.
