Police arrested Hindu Rights Action Force – popularly known as HINDRAF – leader’s including P.Uthayakumar and erected roadblocks around Kuala Lumpur in the bid to stop today’s rally to protest against the racial policies of the Malaysian regime.
HINDRAF is working for getting equal sitizenship rights for minority Hindu's in Malaysia in par with majority Muslims.
Today’s rally is named as “SOLIDARITY MARCH AGAINST RACIALISM”.
Malaysia is a Islamic country and 60% of the populations are Muslims. The Government of Malaysia is oppressing remaining 40% of the population mainly comprising 25% Christians, 10% Hindu’s and 5% Buddhists.
Today’s rally called by Hindu organisaction has the international support.
In a statement issued at New York, Human Rights Watch” asked the government to allow today’s march.
In a statement HINDRAF and its political wing Human Rights Party says “The Indians are systematically denied minority rights. Malaysia is the most racist country in the world. Apartheid has already ended in South Africa but we still have it in Malaysia”.

In India Muslims are minorities and Hindu’s are majority. In Malaysia Hindu’s are minority and Muslims are majority.
But In India Muslims get all citizenship rights in par with Muslims. But in Malaysia minority Hindu’s are treated much worse that blacks treated in pre-apartheid South Africa.
It is our request to all Indian Hindu’s to re-think whether we are right in treating Muslims in par with Hindu’s in the light of Malaysian situation.
