Today Christian terrorists attacked an MLA’s – Mr. W. Keishing - convoy who is returning from his native village called Riha to capital Imphal. Incident happened around 2.30 P.M.
Even though Manipur is a Hindu majority state, several districts are Christian majority. Terrorism are mainly centered in Christian majority districts like Ukhrul etc.
Eventhough MLA escaped unhurt, 5 out of 7 killed are his security guards. Similarly 5 out of 6 injured are also his security personnel.
For the last several months Christian terrorists are threatening him for demanding separate district status for Phungyar Assembly constituency, which is at present part of Ukhrul district administration.
After the attack, MLA said “I am not afraid, the people are with me, and the public are tired of them. They only want to control the flow of money flowing in to Ukhrul district, if Phungyar becomes a district, then their plans will fail”.
According to Christian missionaries “Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ – a god who preaches Love and Peace”. But the same Christianity and his follower’s are making Manipur a hell.
